About Kanto Talks

Kanto Talks is a space for real conversations, real people, and real impact.

Kanto Talks was born from friendship, shared experiences, and a love for storytelling.

Our journey began in 2006 when a group of Filipino migrants arrived in New Zealand in search of new opportunities and a better future. Over the years, we built careers, raised families, supported one another through challenges, and remained close friends-eventually becoming like family.

Along the way, we met inspiring Filipinos from all walks of life: entrepreneurs, professionals, community leaders, and everyday people whose stories deserved to be heard. Their journeys, resilience, and achievements inspired us to create Kanto Talks.

The name "Kanto" holds a special place in Filipino culture. It literally means "corner," but for many Filipinos, the kanto is where conversations happen, friendships are formed, stories are shared, and wisdom is passed on from one generation to the next.

Kanto Talks brings that same spirit into the digital world-a space for real conversations, real people, and real impact.

Through storytelling, we aspire to inspire, celebrate Filipino success, and create meaningful connections within our community-one story at a time.
